Prince Edward County is an island community encompassing approximately 1,000 square kilometres with over 500 kilometres of shoreline, including many popular beach destinations such as Sandbanks Provincial Park. Located within a 2-3 hour drive from Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa, the County has an enviable position in this golden triangle. Its lake-influenced relatively mild climate and limestone rich soil has led to the establishment of about 50 vineyards and 30+ wineries, resulting in the region becoming one of Ontario's newest designated viticultural areas.
